So tell me, what is Bear Hotel?
So Bear Hotel is this conceptual hotel that's full of handsome men,
a different man in every room, enticing you to come visit him.
It's been around about five years.
It started as a Tumblr project,
and then when Tumblr became a bit puritanical about nudity,
I moved to my own website.
And I think that's been good for my creativity.
But basically it's this idea of showing off that handsome men
come in lots of different shapes and sizes,
the diversity of mankind, really.
I've always liked to express myself.
With photography I like to show off my body.
So that was why I got involved with the Bear Hotel,
because it was not just one type of guy that was on the website,
there was a mixture of guys.
And I just felt empowered to be part of that big project.
So it all began about six or seven years ago.
I was taking lots of pictures of my mates, who were really handsome guys,
but no one really wanted me to show their pictures up in public.
So I realised as a photographer I wanted people to see my work in the world,
I needed to get more confident guys.
And I looked at the pictures I'd got, and all my mates were there.
There were bears, and chasers, and chubs, and muscle guys.
