While up in the coldest climbs of Scotland (I had to return one day!) I found the latest brunette beauty. Her name was Vanessa and boy what a cracking wee lovely she was! and all of that, but the trouble--
but you know what?
I don't think I've had a good conversation.
So I'm very surprised that multiple people
have come to me and talked about it.
They're not always the same.
We've got so many emails on Twitter.
People always want to know, I think,
do you have a question for them?
Well, this is a very simple question.
I have the urge to write them.
There's so many ideas that we don't know how to narrow them
down.
And George and I started--
And I think it's because some of the news
says I'm finding it easy to make up a story and kind of
have to put them to paper.
So it's been a short or what.
This is a problem this year, that we
will have these wonderful ideas in our heads,
all of us who are writers.
And then when you come to put them down,
they turn to dust in your hands.
Actually, they weren't such a great idea anyway.
My advice is that what people forget
to do when they need to write is maybe
some stupid thing to say.
But it's a really big thing.
The only way to do it is to write.
So sitting around with these great ideas and all of that,
but Twitter.
But you know what?
And it is like doing the scales on the pyramid.
Write every day.
Stand by the pebble and a piece of paper.
