Hi, I'm Amber and I'm from this really, really small little farm town in the Midwest.
I mean, not much ever happened there.
Um, can I have a bit of a confession?
I mean, I went to school and everything like that, you know, was a gymnast, did all the
fun stuff, um, but I just, I've always kind of wanted to hook up with a black guy.
Kind of was one of those forbidden fruit type things.
I mean, my dad was really, um, I went to an integrated school.
No problem.
Integration was fine.
Everything was great.
It wasn't one of those real southern towns, but I'm just saying it was, my dad was really,
really, really kind of dead set, very old fashioned.
Almost think my dad was one of those people from the South, even though he wasn't, but
he still had that same mentality.
So it was one of those, okay, cool.
I could go to school with everyone.
I could be friends with them, but I could never really date.
I mean, my sister tried to date someone who wasn't white and it just ended up very bad.
Basically, I ended up her getting kicked out of the family and that's, so that's what nothing
I ever wanted.
I wasn't going to follow in her footsteps and get kicked out.
So I was sitting there going, okay, I'll be good.
Date just white guys.
Not as much fun as you think it'd be.
