Since a private taxi can cost up to $50, we instead took a meter cab to the Ekamai bus station located across the street from Soi 63.
The bus will cost you a mere 66 baht or roughly $2.50.
If you're on a budget and want to save money, you can even take a public bus from your hotel to the Ekamai bus station.
You will need to get off at Soi 63 and use the walk bridge to get across the street where the bus station is located.
Once inside the bus station, the very first ticket stand will be the Pattaya stand.
There you purchase your ticket and walk to the back of the bus station where you will wait for your bus.
Buses run approximately every half an hour from early in the morning until around 9 o'clock in the evening.
At the bus station in Pattaya, Mac and I took a blue taxi to our favorite hotel, The White Inn.
After a two-hour bus ride, we were relieved to check into the hotel and freshen up.
The White Inn Hotel is our home away from home, and at 300 baht or $12 a night, the price just can't be beat.
The rooms are extremely clean and even offer a western-style shower.
For an extra 100 baht a day, or $4, you can get a refrigerator and a TV set in your room.
