So today we're going to do a chest opener. There's a lot of props you can use to do the same variation.
You can use yoga blocks, you can use the roller, and you can also use a big pillow.
I will just demonstrate each one for you so you can see the variations.
I'm going to start with the roller.
I'm going to move those to the side.
What this does is it opens up your chest and also stretches out your neck.
Which is very good if you're sitting over the desk at the computer all day.
It's a great way to open up your chest.
So if you're using the roller, you're just going to put it behind you and you're just going to lay back.
You can have your knees bent. You just want to lay down on it.
Now as soon as you do that, you can just feel your chest opening.
You can extend your arms out.
You want to keep your core tight. Squeeze your abdominals.
Take a deep breath in. You're going to feel all that oxygen go out to your lungs.
And exhale.
We'll do a little breath meditation while we're doing this.
We'll just start with a two count.
So around, breathe in for two and then out for two.
And then in for two.
Now, with your abdominals tight, what's happening when you breathe in is oxygen is going up
to your lungs.
If you have your stomach relaxed, what happens is oxygen goes downwards to your diaphragm.
