******** to school and now that's all been upended by what happened. I was at the crash site earlier
and I think what really I found quite staggering was that the train has been heading to Pennsylvania
so it was just a few moments out of the town when it crashed. Had it crashed a lot earlier on
it would have been catastrophic in that there would have been fatalities so
people are really concerned about the fact that trains are still going through and ultimately
they're not getting any answers. There's so many questions they have, they want
questions answered about their health concerns, environmental concerns and a lot of
mental health concerns as well. People are saying that they feel really depressed,
they feel restless, they're just not sure what's happening. Federal assistance has been required
I should add by the governor here to try and help people who are really going through a pretty
traumatic moment following what happened. Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg noted
today that there are about a thousand train derailments in the United States
every year. Could this lead this incident to a call for a tougher safety standards?
