I've been wondering where did you learn to fight like that.

Now that I'm an expert but it's no fighting style I have ever seen before.

Where I actually learned to fight at least properly from the captain of the Northern Guard in Valante.

Her name is Hilda.

She took pity on me in my darkest hour and even though I was little more than a troublemaker she offered me a place in the Imperial Guard.

After that she started to teach me the proper way to use a sword and eventually she even adopted me.

She was more of a mother to me than my mom ever was.

Because your mom was dead you hoe.

But after a couple of years of training with her I was still losing to everyone.

It pissed me off to no end.

Me and Hilda were the only female guards in Valante.

I even couldn't get close to beating her.

She fought intelligently and knew every move her opponent was going to do before he starts the move.

That was doubly true when she fought me since she had taught me everything that I knew.

Her style relied on prediction and anticipation.

With that she could offset the strength disadvantage that she had when fighting men especially when fighting the larger monsters that plagued the outskirts of Valante.
