I picked up the book that was lying on the table and flicked through its pages again.
There was nothing of value that I had missed in those highlighted paragraphs.
Man, I had a hairy smile waiting for my response.

She picked up my used cup and walked away.
I followed her with my stare.
I had not asked her before.
