This is action-fine news in tonight's top story.

A drastic rise in after accidents has caused local authorities to take action.

I am standing at the corner of Central Ave and Main Street where just this summer a whopping 15 car accidents have taken place.

This intersection stands out as one of the several across the city that has a problem with drivers having to stop and go right through red lights.

After there was a serious collision here last week that left three passengers in the hospital and one in critical condition.

Local authorities decided action needed to be taken.

As you see here, after an anonymous vote on the city council, a motion passed to have red light cameras like this one installed at most of the problem intersections with more to come.

In line with this, local sheriffs, deputies and municipal police department officers have stated their intent to enforce these automated tickets up to and including presenting a defense in court.
