Good morning everybody.
So today we're going to work on the hips.
Opening up those tight hips.
And I'm going to need a yoga cushion for this.
So one of the best poses you can do to open your hips is to just take a pillow.
And it is to come down on top of it.
And so you're just allowing your hips to stretch out.
You want to keep the leg muscles engaged.
Relax your feet. Keep your core engaged.
Lower the head.
And then you can rotate the hips a little bit.
Then you want to try to come up.
So when I first started doing this, I was like, no way.
My hips were so frozen I couldn't move.
So I started just little ones like this.
Keep your core engaged.
So that's how I started.
And then of course in a week or so, I was able to come up a little bit farther.
Okay.
And you just hold this. You can come back down.
And if you want to stretch on the top of your hip, walk your hands over to the side.
You're going to get a nice stretch at the top of that hip.
And this is great for people that have a lower back or a side nerve pinch.
What you're stretching out here is your side meridians as well as that big psoas muscle.
You're going to feel it connect underneath the rib cage.
And then walk your hands over to the other side and do the same thing.
Deep breaths in and out.
