to prove it.

And it worked.

These German athletes did very, very well.

Over and over again, these German athletes

succeeded in international competition.

For a decade stretching from 1976,

these Germany won four medals, then

all of the world's two superpowers,

and broke numerous world records,

punching well above their weight in terms

of population and status.
