A lot of people don't breathe properly.

And the big thing is we breathe but we don't hold our abdominals in.

And what happens is when you do that, your breath just goes downwards

instead of going upwards into your lungs.

So let's just do an example.

So I'm just going to breathe normally, not holding my abdominals tight.

Take a breath in.

Now you can see that there's not a lot of movement in the chest area.

Now if I squeeze my abdominals tight and I take a breath in, you can see how the lungs,

the chest cavity fills up with air.

So that's what you want.

And you want to practice doing breaths 2, 3, 4, 5 more.

What it does is it strengthens your lungs.

So that's what we're going to do today.

I would like to start with just a two breath.

So we'll do...

And just close your eyes.

We're going to just focus on that breath.

So, breathing in to count.

abdominal spine.

Let's add one more now. Let's go four.

Really fill up your lungs and breathe out.

And just count yourself down to a count of four.

So what you're doing when you're doing this practice is you're making your lungs stronger.

A lot of people are diagnosed with asthma and that's because we have weak lungs.

And a lot of that's because we don't breathe properly.

So just practice this practice during your day.
