We're going to do a deep hip opener today.
So I want you just to sit on the ground.
We're going to start with the left leg button forward.
Bring your right leg over the top of it.
Okay, now depending on your flexibility, it's going to decide how far you're able to go.
You might be way up here. You might not be able to rest both knees parallel.
And that's okay. If you need to put a rolled up blanket underneath your right leg, even a yoga block, that's okay.
Or even if your foot's on the ground, that's okay too.
You want to roll the foot out a little bit so that it's neutral with the leg.
You don't want the foot flat on the ground.
Because what we're going to do is we're going to lean forward.
So use your yoga blocks if you need to.
Try to get your knees stacked, one on top of each other.
You're going to get the best stretch that way.
And if you kind of open your legs, the farther forward your legs are, the harder the stretch is to do.
If the feet are closer to the body, it's easier to do.
And now we're just going to lean forward here.
So squeeze the core, sit up nice and tall, shoulders down and back.
And we're just going to lean forward and put our arms on the yoga blocks to start.
And just take a couple of breaths. Keep everything squeezed tight, your legs.
