Our lunch together with Laura, his girlfriend,

was very enjoyable.

Maybe it was because I nursed her the night prior,

but she was in an

under-attrition of a toxic smoke,

a rather fulfilling endeavor.

She'd been very quiet today,

which I don't particularly mind,

but I love the moments when we have discussion,

even if said discussions can often lead to disagreements.

I was about to comment on eat,

but that's what we're hearing is.

in heat on the other side of the wall

put my world to a complete stop,

if only for a moment.

The mild annoyance I was feeling

for what was business as usual

in the room next door suddenly transformed into horror,

show I feel personally affected by,

something that I should have no control over,

that I have no control over

becomes in an instant my primary concern.
